چکیده

In the last decade, field of Disability Arts has been recognised as a powerful source aesthetic innovation. Yinka Shonibare described it ‘the remaining avant-garde movement’ (Bragg, 2007), where artists with lived experience disability produce new combinations form, content and politics, which engage spectators in provocative reflections on way we relate to each other public sphere. Despite range policies, plans, protocols funding programmes support disabled collaborations between mainstream producers artists, statistics – at least our context Australia suggest most art still occurs outside alongside an industry that struggles include these artists. this article, draw upon findings from series workshops around Australia, conducted part ARC funded Performing Australia: Beyond The Social Model project known colloquially its collaborators participants ‘The Last Avant Garde’ ( https://lastavantgarde.com.au ) propose approach. We find while provision logistical access (ramps, hearing loops, interpreters) ideological (stories, characters, discourse language) is critical, so methodological access, embodies culture training, rehearsal production processes. Disabled use crip culture, along relational space time negotiate what happens arts practices work through desire, fear, vulnerability reciprocity rapidly establish trusting collaborations. It inclusion relationships concepts, much ramps inclusive language, makes practice feel safe for this, argue, sector learn teach about improving inclusivity creative industries.

The slow decay and quick revival of self-deception

People demonstrate an impressive ability to self-deceive, distorting misbehavior to reflect positively on themselves-for example, by cheating on a test and believing that their inflated performance reflects their true ability. But what happens to self-deception when self-deceivers must face reality, such as when taking another test on which they cannot cheat? We find that self-deception diminis...

Corticosteroid hormones in the central stress response: quick-and-slow.

Recent evidence shows that corticosteroid hormones exert rapid non-genomic effects on neurons in the hypothalamus and the hippocampal CA1 region. The latter depend on classical mineralocorticoid receptors which are accessible from the outside of the plasma membrane and display a 10-fold lower affinity for corticosterone than the nuclear version involved in neuroprotection. Consequently, this 'm...

Physiological Environment Induces Quick Response – Slow Exhaustion Reactions

In vivo environments are highly crowded and inhomogeneous, which may affect reaction processes in cells. In this study we examined the effects of intracellular crowding and an inhomogeneity on the behavior of in vivo reactions by calculating the spectral dimension (d(s)), which can be translated into the reaction rate function. We compared estimates of anomaly parameters obtained from fluoresce...

Molecular Evolution of Slow and Quick Anion Channels (SLACs and QUACs/ALMTs)

Electrophysiological analyses conducted about 25 years ago detected two types of anion channels in the plasma membrane of guard cells. One type of channel responds slowly to changes in membrane voltage while the other responds quickly. Consequently, they were named SLAC, for SLow Anion Channel, and QUAC, for QUick Anion Channel. Recently, genes SLAC1 and QUAC1/ALMT12, underlying the two differe...

Time dependent trust structures

The correct functioning of distributed IT-systems requires elaborate and efficient ways to control the user’s access to the system. Traditional global or hierarchical access control systems are not suitable for distributed systems with autonomous components, where each component needs to dynamically maintain and enforce its own access control policy. Furthermore, the potential participants are ...
